About Elder Doh

DAGARA ELDER Doh Kambire lived along the banks of the Volta River in the lively bush village of Manoa for over a century. That’s right, he passed from this earthly plain in 2024, at the sage age of 115yrs and the world lost a remarkable lit-up presence with roots to an earlier earth. In the sweeping rains that followed his passing, so too went the animal cloth-skins of his childhood, so too, the unseen thresholds into ancestral pathways and the star-pulsing dimensions that lived within him. Doh was a Water Star Bobora (Shaman) and Kontomble Diviner and held the wisdom seat and spiritual technological center for the powerful Dagara tribe. And what does this mean for us now? Elder Doh was the water star conduit, the Bobora who held the ancient ties to a vibratory co-existence and reciprocity with the Ancestors and Nature’s elemental world. Doh initiated a handful of people to honorably practice and culturally conserve Dagara medicine. These living conduits include Leyei Kambire, Balomay Kambire and Yirsowb Kambire. Airo Somé, Daouda Touré and Susan Manchester. (Daouda passed unexpectedly in November, 2025).

To forget the sacred pathways of the Ancestors or to lose access between the worlds was unthinkable to Elder Doh. It would be similar to forgetting we have a physical body when we wake in the morning. Yes, slick and excitably alluring, the inevitable world of AI has landed and with its arrival, our life affirming relationship with our extraoridinary human senses and our expanding consciousness has only increased in its vibratory, oxygen based importance, as conduit to Nature and to Ancestral medicine’s deep relevance in our brilliantly lit life on earth.

As of 2026, initiated Boboras, Airo Somé and Arouna Touré (Burkina Faso) and Susan Manchester (Burkina Faso & USA) continue to work with those in the West whose Ancestors are calling them Home. The Dagara witness that many people have lost the sense of a deeper belonging to this living world, and are in great need of clearing a path to find sanctuary inside again.
